2019 Granite Spring Luncheon Summary
Our community put on a chicken dinner luncheon for the Creative Image Landscape Crew who serviced our grass and landscape this season. This was the 5th year we did this. Tthe first couple of years it was put on just by the patio home residents since the condo area was using a different landscaping company.
As in then past, I solicited help from all patio and condo owners to help with this project. We had a wonderful response this year and certainly appreciate the help, we know the landscapers do too.
This year was our best collection of money for expenses and gifts for the landscapers to take home to Mexico when they leave here for the Winter. Our collection was $600 more than last year, which had been the best up till then. We received almost $1,700 and were able to give each of the crew $120 cash, there were 14 to share it with this year, A couple could not make the luncheon but received the same share. There were some eyes popping and many “Gratias” when we distributed the gifts.
Once again, I say “THANK YOU” to this community and to the generosity of it’s residents. A special thank you also to the ones who were able to show up and help with the prep and clean up of the event and also to the generous residents who brought food or other supplies for the event. Our Social Committee was once again well represented with this group.
